Derived by a paper construction inspired by the growth and development of microscopic organisms in an environment, the motifs were translated from 3D into 2D, from paper into gouache. The images were then revised and composed in Adobe Photoshop. The pattern is an abstraction of the complexity of biological development and is an experiment on how different materialities can be interpreted as textiles.
